Group Management

Manage group-level settings for coordination, thresholds, privacy, users, and affiliated businesses under Control Center > Group Management.


Group Settings

The Group Settings panel contains all shared configuration values for users in your organization. These govern coordination behavior, alerting thresholds, data visibility, and how your contact information appears to others.

Enterprise Details

Metadata about your organization and access tier.

Operator Contact Information

Each group must designate a primary operator contact for conjunction events. This contact is shown to other operators involved in an event with one of your assets.

Mitigation Action Thresholds

Risk thresholds define when your group will begin maneuver planning based on conjunction severity.

Conjunction Event Filters

Default filters that are applied to conjunction event dashboards and screening results. These values do not affect risk calculations, but help surface high-priority events to your team.

Data Privacy Settings

Control what information is shared across Satcat's Space Traffic Coordination network. Settings apply organization-wide and impact how your group interacts during conjunction events.

When publishing is enabled, other operators can use your ephemeris marked OPERATIONAL in Screening jobs.

Manage Users

The User Management tab displays all user accounts associated with your organization. From this panel, Owners and Admins can:

  • View user name, email, role, and account status
  • Invite new users to join the group
  • Edit existing user roles

Invite and Manage Access

Use the Invite User button to add new team members. Each user must be assigned one of the following roles:

UserAccess operational tools and data; no ability to change group settings
AdminAll User capabilities, plus permissions to manage users, settings, and thresholds
OwnerFull access to all group settings, asset controls, business management, and API keys

Each user's role determines what they can access in the Control Center, Event pages, and Screening tools.

Role Permissions

User

  • View and modify all assets assigned to the organization
  • Access Conjunction Events, screening results, and perform event actions
  • Upload ephemeris and set metadata via the Ephemeris Repository
  • Use chat messaging during coordinated conjunctions
  • Initiate screening jobs and retrieve results (Pro/Enterprise only)
  • View Operator Directory

Admin

Includes all User permissions, plus:

  • Invite and remove users
  • Promote or demote users and admins
  • Update group contact info and coordination settings
  • Edit group mitigation thresholds and triggering

Owner

All Admin permissions, plus:

  • Manage affiliated businesses
  • Link to primary business entity
  • Update enterprise information

Manage Businesses

Link your group to legal entities responsible for asset operation. Each business profile includes:

  • Business name and location
  • Contact email and website
  • Named executive roles (CEO, CTO, CPO)
  • Optional CONOPS (Concept of Operations) description

Linking a primary business hides all affiliated businesses in the public directory and associates your group's assets under the primary entity.
