Satcat Launch
Satcat Launch is a Launch Conjunction Assessment (LCA) system that enables launch providers to rapidly identify conjunctions along a launch vehicle's predicted trajectory with other objects in the space environment. Satcat Launch screens each individual launch time option in your launch window to identify which launch times produce close approaches.
Access to Launch Conjunction Assessment features requires a Satcat Launch subscription.
Screening a Launch
- Launch Screening - ephemeris requirements, catalog data, coverage, and launch options
- Screening Jobs - create, configure, and submit a screening
- Screening Results - read launch window periods and blackouts
- Code Examples - automate screenings with the Satcat SDK or CLI
Key Features
Screening Customization
Screen all orbital and suborbital stages of your launch vehicle at the same time with a custom launch window and screening timesteps for the screening. Each uploaded CALIPER file can be set with a custom name and HBR value. Launch providers can match Form 22 guidelines, or set specific Crewed, Active, and General screening volume radius values, also called Stand Off Radius (SOR).
Secondary Data Sources
Screen against the 18th SDS Catalog, the ephemeris repository, or the Starlink API, and add individual secondary objects by NORAD ID or RSO name. Satcat Launch also allows for custom secondary ephemerides upload, giving you greater control over what satellites you can screen your launch vehicle against.
On-Demand Launch Screening
Screening results are computed within minutes, not hours. Satcat Launch's on-demand screening reduces the turnaround time for submitting launch plans by allowing operators to pre-screen the secondary catalog for blackout periods before submission to 19 SDS.
Standards and Compliance
Satcat Launch supports all Form 22 fields and features defined by the 18/19 SDS Launch Conjunction Assessment Handbook. Blank forms can be found on Space-Track.org.
